Kayaks

Yesterday Alex and I spent our morning on Lake Casitas. His dad (Mike) has a kayak docked there and has graciously offered it to us to use as we please :)

The weather was perfect, the scenery was beautiful, I was in wonderful company, and I "worked out" my elbows :-P

look at this cutie :)

working hard hehe

all because two people fell in love...

Yesterday was the reception for Mr. and Mrs. Andy Payton! The lovebirds eloped in January but threw a nice reception party yesterday for friends and family who weren't at the wedding!

Aren't they cute?

Their first dance was amazing and Andy continued to show off his dance skills with a surprise choreographed dance with two of his college buddies (think Napolean Dynamite)

The reception was a lot of fun and it was great to see a lot of the CLU crew there...

The fun continued later at Cisco's...happy hour all day long on Saturday's and Sunday's, how could you go wrong?!

Steph and Andy make an amazing team and I wish them a lifetime full of laughs and loves <3

Have fun in Hawaii!!!!

Chelsea Lately

Again, it's been a while since I posted....I promise I will get better :)

On Thursday I went to a taping of the Chelsea Lately show with Jesse, Beth and Amanda. The actual taping was fun...she had some good comedians on and the special guest was Ashley Greene from Twilight BUT the security staff and her warm-up guy were so awful that it made the experience pretty uncomfortable. I'm not going to go into detail but I will be writing an email to her staff to let them know of our experience...which is something I never do!

Highlights of the day...

  • hanging out with Jesse, Beth and Amanda :D
  • got a book signed by Chelsea Handler
  • took pictures with my new tripod grip-y thing (which is totally amazing and will hang on just about anything)

That is a picture we took with my new tripod thingy....it's upside down because its hanging from my rearview mirror :)

Happenings

So far, June has been a pretty busy month for me. I have had a few job interviews and done the follow-ups....hope something falls through soon! I continue to look/apply for any and all opportunities!

Last week Lily, Kaili and I went to an abandoned boat on the side of the road and took some pictures :)

One of Alex's best friends graduated from Cal Poly last weekend in SLO so we made the trip up there last weekend. Fun times :)

Yesterday, my mom and I spent the day at Disneyland :) Seriously, having an annual pass is the best thing in the world! The new show at California Adventures, World of Color, opened last Friday and we were both really excited to see it -- so we went! We had to get there pretty early to get a fastpass to the show (to make sure we would get a spot) but it was well worth it! The park was crazy busy -- about 80,000 people in attendance! -- but we didn't worry about getting on all of the rides since we know we will be back again soon (another reason why passes are amazing!)

In other news...2 weeks until Michigan!

3. Chutes and Ladders
4. Take the canoe out in the pond
5. Catch a turtle
6. Eat a pastie
7. Walk around the property
8. Go to the rootbeer stand
9. Give Grama and Grampa big hugs
10. Take a tour of the gray ghost

I have a much longer list of things I want to do there...maybe I'll post them another day :)

Movie Buff...

In the last two day I have been to two different movie screenings. I love when I get invitations to these...mostly because they are free :)

Last night I saw Charlie St. Cloud with Beth, Jesse, and Corey. The movie was sad, but very original (I thought) and it had Zac Efron in it so, of course, it had to be good....right? He did such a great job in the role and it was completely different than anything he has done before. I don't think this is a movie that I will be taking Alex to see but I definitely recommend it as an "at home" movie. The four of us were chosen to be in the group of people who do an extra critique of the movie (in addition to the survey they pass out to everybody in the audience) which was exciting as always.

As we left the theater we were handed another invitation for a screening that was tonight. Jesse and Corey couldn't make it but Beth and I decided to go, and I'm glad we did!

Tonight we saw Dinner for Schmucks. This movie was hilarious and I loved every minute of it. I don't want to give anything away but the cast was amazing and everything in the movie worked :) I'm excited to see this movie again!

(I couldn't find a poster for Charlie St. Cloud so a picture of Zac Efron will have to do!)

In other news...I hung out with my madre today while my car was being fixed. Love her <3
