bridesmaid cards

I finally got around to designing my bridesmaid cards this week. Since asking your wedding party to be part of your special day by phone is "so 1985" I decided to send cute little cards to the girls...

I love little DIY projects :)

one year

A year ago today, we didn't have Rocco. What did we ever do without him?

A year ago today, I wasn't engaged to my best friend. I definitely knew I wanted to be though :)

A year ago today, I wasn't an alumni of the Disney College Program. Little did I know I had some amazing people to meet and some wonderful memories to make.

A year ago today, I was eating Dominos and playing Mario Party. Thanks Facebook.

be my valentine

Happy Valentine's Day!

I started the morning off by going to my first Advanced Studies in Hospitality Management class. It was pretty interesting. I'm really glad that my roommate Lisa is in that class with me :)

There was a big box of flowers on our doorstep when we got home and I was very pleased to see that they were for me! The bouquet is very pretty and has some of my favorite flowers in it (thanks Alex!!)

aren't they pretty? :)

After class we just lounged in the apartment, had some lunch and watched Toy Story. I checked the HUB to see if there were any PAC shifts to pick up tonight and there were! So I picked one of them up and rode to work with Lisa this afternoon.

The PAC shift was awesome! I seriously love the costume. Plus, what could be better than getting paid to stand in front of the castle and watch the electrical parade, the new castle show AND wishes?! That's right, nothing :)

Doing the "Disney point"...not my new favorite pose :-P

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day.

alex's visit

Alex flew to Florida to hang out with me last week! We had such a good time and it was great to be reunited!! I had to work on 2 of the days -- but only in the morning so it wasn't too bad.

On his first full day we hit up Animal Kingdom and Epcot. The highlights of the day were the safari (DUH), naked mole rats, German beer, and Ellen's Energy Adventure! Ok, maybe not the last one...

When I got off of work on Saturday we enjoyed each other's company, had some dinner, and watched the Magic Kingdom fireworks from a hammock on the beach of the Polynesian :)

I worked the morning of Superbowl Sunday but was back at the hotel in time for the game! We decided to stay in our room and watch the game so we could be comfy and we had a nice tv :) For dinner we ordered some Domino's and Alex got some beer from the pool bar. There was a raffle at the bar during halftime so we went downstairs and Alex won a shirt!

Monday it was supposed to rain all day....we never really saw too much of that but we did see some ominous clouds in the distance! We had a few errands to do (like returning my over-priced computer case to Best Buy) so we took the city bus and got them done :) That night we had dinner reservations at 'Ohana. The meal was SO good and we had a wonderful time. At one point we were invited up with a few other couples who were celebrating anniversaries and got to slow dance to an Elvis song :D Our server was awesome and at the end of the meal brought us an engagement cupcake!

Tuesday was Alex's last full day...we spent it in Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom. We had a lot of fun at both of the parks even though it was pretty cold!

Unfortunately, our vacation had to come to a close on Wednesday and Alex flew home. It was so great to have a visitor (especially Alex!! :P) and I can't wait for the next one to come!!! (hint, hint!)

love is in the air

FOUR of the grandchildren of Bud & Claudie Spiroff (aka my grandma and grandpa!) are now engaged! Love must really be in the air :)

My grandma and grandpa are seriously the cutest couple I have ever seen. They have been married over 50 years and couldn't be happier :) The two of them are the reason that I have such an amazing family and I don't think I could ever thank them enough!!! They are the best parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents that any of us could ever ask for!

aren't they cute?!

Emily and Tad kicked off the engagement train on New Year's Eve and are planning on getting married this coming June.

Next came Shauna and Nikita in August. Kita popped the question while they were vacationing in Hawaii and they are hoping to tie the knot here in California sometime next fall.

Alex and I are next! He asked me to marry him on our 4 year anniversary just last week :) We are planning to have our ceremony in Hawaii and a reception back in California next fall.

A few days after we got engaged, my cousin Kira announced that her and Adam are engaged now too! They are planning a picnic-style wedding in Ohio this August.

2011 is going to be exciting. Lots of weddings, family, love, laughter, pictures and memories. I can't wait for it all to start!

jason mraz

If you didn't already know, Alex is awesome! Towards the end of the summer he surprised me with tickets for us to go see Jason Mraz at the Santa Barbara Bowl :)

Before the concert we ate at this little Mexican place near the venue.

The concert was SO much fun. We had really good seats and the Santa Barbara Bowl is gorgeous!

Mr. Mraz puts on a really good show. So if you ever have the chance to see him live -- DO IT!

It was such a good night <3

On the way home we stopped at Carl's and shared an Oreo shake! mmmmm

Today is a special day -- Alex turns 23!

I feel so lucky to have him in my life.

Babe, I wish you another year full of happiness, laughter and love. You inspire me in so many ways. Thanks for being born :D

I can't get over how cute you were as a baby :)

dog park

On Saturdays Alex and I like to take Rocco to the dog park. When we take him for walks he loves introducing himself to all of the other dogs so we knew he would love the dog park too!

At first, he was a little bit nervous which we thought was strange because he is always so outgoing but after a few dogs came up to him he snapped out of it and had a great time! It was so much fun to watch him with the other dogs and it was a nice, relaxing way to spend part of our Saturday afternoon. I'm already looking forward to going back next weekend!

We are having so much fun with Rocco, I'm so glad that we are both dog people <3

all because two people fell in love...

Yesterday was the reception for Mr. and Mrs. Andy Payton! The lovebirds eloped in January but threw a nice reception party yesterday for friends and family who weren't at the wedding!

Aren't they cute?

Their first dance was amazing and Andy continued to show off his dance skills with a surprise choreographed dance with two of his college buddies (think Napolean Dynamite)

The reception was a lot of fun and it was great to see a lot of the CLU crew there...

The fun continued later at Cisco's...happy hour all day long on Saturday's and Sunday's, how could you go wrong?!

Steph and Andy make an amazing team and I wish them a lifetime full of laughs and loves <3

Have fun in Hawaii!!!!

Natasha
